Neighborhood Carpet Care: Positioned to Clean Up

» Email this Article       » Printer Friendly Version

For Bart Baxley, starting a business in a struggling economy does not sound like a bad idea; in fact, he thinks it is the perfect time to launch his new company. "When budgets are tight home and business owners alike are searching for great services at a great price, and I am in a position to offer both."

His new business, Neighborhood Carpet Care Inc., is on a mission to become the Triangle's foremost carpet cleaning company by providing dependable service while delivering the safest, most effective carpet and upholstery cleaning the industry has to offer at the best possible price. Bart believes that in a struggling economy those businesses in the service industry that offer the highest quality and value will be well positioned to clean up, and that's exactly what he intends to do.

With a long history in the service industry Bart knows firsthand that the often forgotten values of hard work, honesty, and fair prices go a long way to ensuring the success of a business. "These are core values that helped build our nation and they reflect exactly that kind of integrity and work ethic I want to infuse in Neighborhood Carpet Care."

Bart will be happy with nothing less than setting a new standard for the conduct of the carpet-cleaning professionals. After considerable market research, he learned that the prevalent business practices in the industry were not entirely customer friendly. Because of that, Bart determined to offer his clients an alternative that is expressed in his "Clean You Can Believe In Guarantee." Very simply Neighborhood Carpet Care promised to:
" Arrive on time
" All technicians are trained and certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration
" Always tell customers the truth about their carpet cleaning, rug or upholstery cleaning job
" Offer prompt, courteous, dependable carpet cleaning services at fair prices
" Stick to the estimate, even if a particularly tricky stain means we have to take a little extra time to finish the job
" To use only environmentally safe – green' carpet cleaning solutions that are safe for customers, their kids and pets, and the environment.

In a business like Neighborhood Carpet Care's, reputation is everything. Bart knows he has one chance and one chance only to get it right for each customer. His goal is not just his customer's complete satisfaction – he wants them to be so excited with their carpet and upholstery cleaning results that they will want to tell all their friends about his company!

Neighborhood Carpet Care, Inc. is a Fuqua-Varina based carpet and upholstery cleaning business serving homes and businesses in Wake County, and parts of Harnett and Johnston counties. Neighborhood Carpet Care also offers tile and grout cleaning, Oriental rug care, and pet stain, odor removal services, and offers an innovative customer referral and savings program. On My Honor, I Will

Aug. 29, 2010 - (By: Gary Tomlinson) "Learning from the school of hard knocks can be very informing, but often the tuition is too high! We should learn from other people's experiences." The purpose of this column is to share great business wisdom from the experiences of authors like Jim Collins, Michael Gerber, Gary Harpst, Michael LeBoeuf, Ron Willingham, Randy Pennington and others. Because when you combine great business education with your own business experiences the outcome you'll receive is far greater than the sum of its parts.

The wisdom of Randy Pennington's new book; "On My Honor, I Will; The Journey to Integrity-Driven Leadership" has been chosen to share with you this week. The seed for this book began with five words: "He's a REAL BOY SCOUT." Those words were spoken to Randy Pennington by his client who used them to describe his boss. They were not meant as a compliment. His client's contention that honor and integrity are not consistent with long-term success concerned Randy then and continues to do so today. It was the catalyst that caused him to write this book.

Unfortunately his client's belief is shared by many others today.   More »
