RALEIGH, N.C. (May 9, 2012) — Raleigh-based financial services firm, Legacy Wealth Strategies (www.legacyws.com), announced today its continued support of Special Olympics Wake County. Eleven associates volunteered during the Spring Games held recently at Ravenscroft School.
"Each year, the Legacy team makes time to support the athletes at our Spring Games, and we are so very thankful for their commitment to our cause," said Brian Philpot, local program coordinator for Special Olympics Wake County. "It is this tireless dedication from organizations and individuals that makes our programs such a success."
This is the second year that Legacy Wealth Strategies has supported Special Olympics Wake County. Legacy's associates worked alongside other volunteers as they helped set up the event, as well as serve snacks and lunches to athletes and families. The event included more than 1400 participants age six and older.
"The Spring Games were such a wonderful event to be a part of and were filled with exuberant spirit," says John Parham, Jr., Legacy Wealth Strategies president. "Our associates cherished the time spent in support of the athletes and families, and gained just as much joy as we saw among the participants."
