RALEIGH, N.C. – French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation's leading independent public relations and brand communications agencies, today announced Vice President Jay Wisse, who leads the agency's Sports and Entertainment practice, was recently named to the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Marketing Representative Advisory Council (MRAC). MRAC is a group of 10 NFL agents and marketing representatives who have been selected to help guide the NFLPA in its programs and practices to increase off-field revenue for its 1,900-plus active NFL players.
The committee focuses on discussing challenges, current issues, concerns and finding solutions that affect member businesses and impact the NFLPA. Ultimately, MRAC meetings and larger marketing forums will serve to guide and assist the NFLPA in providing the best support it can generate to maximize the marketability of the players.
Wisse – who works closely with running back Arian Foster and safety Glover Quin, both of the Houston Texans, as well as quarterback Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks – will serve a two-year term and was welcomed into the council on May 19, 2012 during the NFL Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.

| Making Your Website Run Like a High Performance Engine |
Jun. 16, 2013 - (By Lou Amico of L.A. Management Company in Charlotte)
Your website represents your company and brand. For many, it's the customer's first impression of your business. Jimmie Johnson doesn't win NASCAR races without a superior high performance race car and your company won't win business without a high performance website. Here are some tips to create a website that outperforms your competition.
Start with a search engine friendly content management system platform.
Build or move your site to a full-service, content management system (CMS) platform. There are many open source content management platforms, including WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and more. A search engine friendly CMS allows for easy content updates to keep the website current and relevant. A good CMS also allows users without programming knowledge to write search engine relevant title and Meta tags. These tags are HTML codes that are inserted into the header on a web page. The Meta description tag and the Meta keywords tag are not seen by users. Instead, these tags main purpose is providing document data to search engines.
Using keyword rich URL's, title tags, descriptions, and image alt text will allow search engines to easily follow the content on your site and index it for future online searches for your product or service.
