David Inabinett joins medical professionals to address need for written healthcare directives

Lexington, NC – David Inabinett, Managing Member of Brinkley Walser, will be joining speakers from Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center to discuss the importance of written healthcare directives and long-term care planning. Events are planned in Lexington and Thomasville on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 and will provide attendees with information and tools needed to begin the planning process. These seminars are being held in honor of National Healthcare Decisions Day 2012.

"None of us like to think that we may become incapacitated and unable to indicate our wishes regarding medical care," says Inabinett. "If we do not discuss our wishes with our families and have written directives that can be given to medical personnel, our loved ones can be put in the position of having to make these tough decisions on our behalf. National Healthcare Decisions Day is an annual event geared toward opening this discussion. I'm pleased to be able to speak to Davidson County residents about the importance of advance planning." Inabinett concentrates his practice in the areas of elder law, estate and long-term care planning.

The two seminars are sponsored by the Davidson County Department of Senior Services' Senior Dynamics program and will be held in both the Thomasville and Lexington Senior Services Locations on April 11, 2012. The Thomasville seminar is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at 211 W. Colonial Dr., Thomasville, Suite 103. To register, please call the Thomasville Senior Center at 336-474-2754 or email Kandra.Alexander@DavidsonCountyNC.gov. The Lexington seminar will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at 555 W Center Street Ext, Lexington. To register, please call the Lexington Senior Center at 336-242-2290. The seminars are open to all Davidson County residents 18 and older. Registration deadline for this seminar is April 10, 2012.
