The North Carolina National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program, Enable America, and participating employers present:
Enable America Job Seekers Workshop for Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans to be held on August 24 at the Koury Convention Center, Greensboro NC!
Enable America has entered into a partnership with the NC National Guard. The Guard has been preparing for the return of thousands of active duty soldiers as the combat theatre in Iraq and now Afghanistan is drawn down.
Many of these soldiers are returning with injuries and disabilities. As they return to their families and our communities, the top priority for these soldiers is employment.
August 24 is a special homecoming event at the Koury Convention Center, where the NCNG Yellow Ribbon Program is hosting 300-500 soldiers and spouses for job preparation workshops and the Hire our Heroes Hiring Fair, at the Sheraton Four Season Hotel adjacent to the Convention Center.
Enable America, and our corporate volunteer panelists will host 20-25 attendees at the Job Seekers Workshop for Wounded Warriors and Disabled Veterans – from all branches of the military.
Workshop Topics, Panelists, and One-on-One Coaching
Our topics and panelists are as follows:
The Job Search: How to Find the Jobs – John O’Connor, Career Pro Inc. (veteran)
Marketing Yourself with the Cover Letter – Amy Powell, SAS
Marketing Yourself with the Resume – Amanda Hahn, LabCorp

While a panelist may have presented on one topic, they might be consulted about any of the topics. When not in a coaching session, other attendees will review the workbook/attend the Hiring Fair.
