Raleigh, N.C.- January 5, 2018: The Me Fine Foundation is proud to announce that Katie Todd has been hired as the organization’s first full-time Development Director. Katie will lead the nonprofit’s fundraising activities and strive to diversify the organization’s donor base. The Development Director position was created two years ago to coincide with Me Fine’s continued growth, as demonstrated recently with the organization’s new partnership with WakeMed Children’s Hospital.
Katie is a University of Arizona graduate with a Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She previously worked for the NC League of Conservation Voters as the Director of Digital Strategies and her professional experience includes five years on the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) of the Triangle Board of Directors. Her breadth of experience will benefit Me Fine Foundation’s financial assistance and emotional support programs for children and families receiving long-term medical treatment from Duke, UNC Children’s, and WakeMed Hospitals.
“I’m thrilled to join the Me Fine team as its Development Director and build on the incredible work the organization has done to provide hope to families during such difficult times,” remarked Katie.
“The addition of Katie to our team is a game changer,” noted Joey Powell, Executive Director of Me Fine. “Her leadership and strategic thinking will take us to another level in 2018, thus serving more families in our communities,” he added.
The mission of the Me Fine Foundation is to provide hope to critically ill children treated by Children’s Hospitals in North Carolina and their families through financial assistance, emotional support and necessary resources, regardless of race, diagnosis, religious affiliation or economic status.
