RALEIGH, N.C. (March 8, 2018)First Tennessee Bank/Capital Bank today announced three seasoned banking executives have joined the 153-year-old financial institution’s continued push to expand its market presence across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Joining the Raleigh office are Chris Caldwell, Steve Miller, and Dave Clark, who will serve as senior vice presidents and relationship managers for diverse commercial and private banking clients across the Triangle. All report to Laura Bunn, Triangle Market President.

First Tennessee Bank, part of the Memphis, Tennessee-based First Horizon family of companies, recently merged with Charlotte-based Capital Bank to become the fourth-largest regional bank in the Southeast, with more than $40 billion in assets and 350 branches. Operations in Mid-Atlantic markets will operate under the Capital Bank name after May.

The new hires are:

Chris Caldwell, senior vice president, commercial relationship manager. Caldwell has worked in the financial services industry since 2006 and most recently served as a regional corporate relationship manager. He will focus on providing financing and treasury solutions for companies in the Triangle. Caldwell received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration and Master of Finance from the University of Maryland.

Dave Clark, senior vice president, commercial relationship manager. Clark comes to First Tennessee Bank/Capital Bank with a wealth of experience in the financial sector, most recently in commercial banking. Dave will focus on building and expanding commercial relationships. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from Elon University.

Steve Miller, CFP, senior vice president, private client relationship manager. Miller, a financial services sector veteran has more than 23 years’ banking experience. A former chief financial officer for a company with operations across the Southeast, Miller has extensive experience in providing wealth management counsel and services to business owners and high net worth individuals. Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Trust Management from Campbell University. He has served on the boards of a number of nonprofits across the state of North Carolina, including Eblen Charities, Homeward Bound, and Junior Achievement, and also served on the utility board for the town of Lake Lure.
