Women2Women will take place at the Queens University Sports Complex and Conference Center, 2229 Tyvola Road in Charlotte from 6:00-7:30PM.The event is free and includes a reception and program/discussion. Online registration is encouraged at https://mainstreetadvocacy.com/charlotte-2018/.
Launched in 2014, the national tour is a series of public meetings taking place across the country designed to engage, motivate and help amplify the voices of women from all backgrounds and political affiliations.
“There’s no denying that 2018 looks to be ‘the year of the woman’ and on International Women’s Day this message will sure to be amplified,” said Sarah Chamberlain, President/CEO of Main Street Advocacy, which organizes the tour. “We look forward to being back in Charlotte and to having the Queen City be our official kick-off location for the 2018 Women2Women national tour.”
Sponsored by Main Street Advocacy – a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization building a movement to empower women and engage them in the political process to make their voices heard in Washington and in their local communities – the tour will be held in partnership with NAWBO Charlotte (National Association of Women Business Owners), the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
In addition to Chamberlain, other Charlotte event panelists include: U.S. Representative Jenniffer Gonález Colón (PR-AL); Katherine Lockhart (SVP at Bank of America); Dr. Pamela Davies (President of Queens University); and Linda Lockman-Brooks, President and Principal, Lockman-Brooks Marketing Services, LLC.
